What Are We Reading Now? - Belgravia

by MsRobPattzMasen Reviewed by SwedenSara
“I know I should date, but who would like all of this shit? I'm damaged goods and someone like that brown eyed girl must be too innocent for damage.”

Edward is a twenty-four year old man, haunted by painful memories and troubled by self loathing. Adopted by his loving uncle Carlisle and aunt Esme after losing his parents as a teenager, Edward now spends his time with his beloved dog Seth in the apartment in Belgravia, and at the local hospital where he works as a first year resident.

Bella is an eighteen year old girl who just graduated high school. She is on her way to Belgravia, London, for six weeks of vacation with her best friend Angela. On the flight they get to know a fellow passenger named Esme. Warm and friendly, she takes pity on the girls and invites Bella and Angela to lunch and offers to give them a tour in the neighbourhood.
In London, unpleasant surprises succeed one another. Bella’s luggage ends up stuck in New York, and she gets knocked down by a swinging door at the post office. When she lifts her eyes from the post office floor, she sees a tall beautiful man with messy bronze hair, a strong jaw and pained, sad, green eyes. Little do they know that they will meet again, in just a few hours, at the lunch set up by Esme.
Edward finds himself smitten by the beautiful Bella. When he learns that she is, in his eyes, merely a child, he desperately tries to suppress his want and hide behind a mask of sarcasm. A vortex of misunderstandings and secret needs emerges. Will he be able to stay away from the young and innocent Bella? Or will he learn that she, in fact, is a much more mature and grown-up girl than he gives her credit for?
MsRobPattzMasen, author of the sexy one-shot “Be Somebody”, builds a story in which holiday romance conflicts with the deep needs of a man in pain. Will Edward, with his troubled past and desire to forget and move on, and Bella, who wishes for nothing but a care-free vacation to celebrate her graduation, find a way to fuse their wants?
