"Go home and dust off your bible, Bella, you've got a church boy to seduce."
For her last summer before college, Bella Swan decided to spend it with her cougar mother, Renee, and her newly acquired young husband, Phil. What she thought was going to be fun in the sun, away from the gloomy environment of Forks, turned out to be the exact opposite. Gorging herself in cheetos and attempting to block her eyes and ears from the newlyweds sexcapades, Jerry Springer was a constant reminder of just how boring her life really was.
Until one non-special afternoon, a certain pair of green eyes came knocking on her door. Immediately captivated by the handsome face whose name was (you guessed it), Edward Cullen, Bella somehow found herself accepting an invitation to a youth bible study. That’s right…Bible study. Not the movies. Not bowling. Bible study.
But what more could you expect from the son of the head preacher of The First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
There she meets the rest of the gang. One thing leads to another, as they always do, and Edward and Bella find themselves alone. The night ends not so innocent-like, with a repentant Edward and an even more determined Bella – Determined to seduce the preacher’s son.
Author, ssarrahh, has expanded her one shot, Kingdom Come, and we couldn’t be any happier. The original OS, definitely left us wanting more. Written for the Devirginzing Edward contest, we couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed that our dear lil Eddie left the story still a virgin, so the continuation has our hearts pounding with excitement.
And why wouldn’t we? Anything that involves a churchy Edward and a determined Bella, has HOTT written all over it.
The first thing that drew me into ssarrahh’s story was her humor. I swear. If I hadn’t been poop dead from working all day, I would have been majorly ROFL. With lines like:
“Matthews 11, Matthews 11, Matthews 11. Oh shit I had no clue how to work this thing.”
How can you help but not laugh?
When Sunday comes rolling around, we find Bella up early, dressing up for her first day of church, and her second encounter with her green eyed man. Will she able to lead him away from his guilty conscience and seduce Edward Cullen? Or will she fail miserably and leave Jacksonville wondering how it could have been?
